A Beloved Neighbor, Colleague, and Friend
With a heavy heart, I share the sorrowful news of the passing of Edgar Cruz, age 58, who was found deceased at his residence on November 26, 2025. The coroner’s office has identified him and reported the manner of death as suicide; formal pronouncement was made on Wednesday.
Edgar was known to many as a steady presence in his community—thoughtful, hardworking, and quietly generous. Those who knew him remember his willingness to help, his steady sense of humor, and the small acts of kindness that made everyday life easier for friends and neighbors. His loss is felt deeply by family, colleagues, and all who were touched by his life. In this moment of grief, we acknowledge the complexity of emotions that follow a death by suicide.
