Holding a grieving family in our hearts

We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of a 14-year-old near Burton Joyce Station yesterday evening. No family should ever have to endure such a devastating loss, and the whole community shares in their grief. British Transport Police confirmed officers and paramedics were called shortly after 7 p.m., and a young person was sadly pronounced deceased. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the first responders for their professionalism and care. At this incredibly difficult time, no further details are being released to respect the family’s privacy.
